Mods for people who like control

A mod is the battery and control unit of a vape. Unlike a simple pod battery, it lets you dial the wattage up or down, so you can tune the vapour to your taste and to the coil you have fitted. It is the natural next step once you know what you like.

Regulated and mechanical styles

Nearly everything on sale is regulated, which means built-in chips protect against short circuits, overheating and low voltage. Look for the on-screen wattage display and a battery gauge, which do a lot to keep things predictable.

Batteries and size

Some mods use one or two removable cells, while others have a fixed internal battery. Dual battery mods give longer runtime but weigh more. See batteries for compatible cells and chargers to power them.

Pairing with tanks

Match a mod to a tank that suits its power range. Sub ohm tanks like plenty of wattage, while an MTL tank wants little. Check the thread type so everything screws together.

Ordering

Adults only.
