Small coils for small devices

Pod systems run at low wattage, so their coils are designed to warm up quickly on little power. Fitting a new one is a two-second job in most models: pull the old coil head out and push the new one in.

Mesh or standard wire

Mesh coils have a wide surface area, and they deliver fuller flavour and more even heating. Standard wire coils suit lighter, cigarette-like inhales and are often the more economical pick. Try each to see which suits you.

Picking resistance

Coils around 0.6 to 0.8 ohm give a slightly warmer, airier draw. Those near 1.0 ohm or above give a tighter one. Match the coil to the nic salt strength you use, since low-ohm coils can feel harsh with strong nicotine.
